Cleaning
Vinyl floor waxing for more shine, grip and durability
Over time vinyl floors turn dull or dark and pick up shoe marks and old wax marks. Waxing adds a protective layer after cleaning, improves the look and reduces everyday wear, especially in offices, schools, shops and busy areas.

Where it's used
Office PVC floors, school corridors, shop floors, activity rooms and public spaces. If the floor just has dust and light marks, start with vinyl floor cleaning; if the old wax has turned dark or is peeling, it may need stripping before waxing.
How it works
We usually clear clutter and dust first, then scrub and degrease according to the floor's condition, vacuum up the dirty water, and wax once the floor is fully dry. Allow drying time afterwards, without foot traffic or heavy items being put back.
How it's priced
Manual vinyl floor waxing is priced by area, tools and supplies included. The rate per sq ft and the minimum charge are in the quote table below; enter the area to see the price instantly. Same-day and evening jobs carry a surcharge (as with ordinary cleaning). If old wax needs stripping first, that's charged separately.
Please note
Waxing isn't a refurbishment; it can't repair deep scratches, damage or warped flooring. If the floor is badly aged, we first assess whether waxing is still suitable.
For commercial premises
Offices and shops can consider work outside business hours to minimise disruption. Before work, clear the floor and remind staff not to walk on wet wax.
FAQ
What's the difference between waxing and floor scrubbing?▾
Scrubbing mainly removes dirt; waxing adds a protective layer after cleaning for more shine and protection.
Does old wax always have to be stripped first?▾
If the old wax is dark, peeling or uneven, we recommend stripping first. If the floor is in good condition, it isn't always needed.
How soon can we walk on it after waxing?▾
It depends on humidity, ventilation and wax thickness. Normal use should wait until it's completely dry.
Can you work in the office at night?▾
This can be arranged case by case, which suits companies that don't want daytime disruption.
How often should the floor be waxed?▾
It depends on foot traffic and wear. Busy offices, schools and shops need more frequent care.
